More Than a Card

"Behind every word is boundless blessings for my loved ones." As Serin wrote her remembrance card, she recalled the pain of losing her mother to cancer in 2019.

Although her mother passed away peacefully at JCHH, Serin often found herself gazing up to the heavens, lost in in sorrow and grief. “I knew my mother would be heartbroken to see me this way so instead, I chose to remember her in a different way – by helping the terminally ill through the ‘Cards for Life Campaign’.” In November 2022, Serin’s father lost his battle with cancer and, like her mother, departed without regret at JCHH.

Since both of her parents received care under the “Subsidy Bed Scheme”, Serin has been committed to supporting the “Cards for Life Campaign”. “Every year, I am not only able to send blessings to my loved ones, but also help those faced with terminal illness in a meaningful way.”
